David Gruber = Bill Gates in Psychology of
Communication
Everybody knows Bill Gates. Everybody knows his revolution in technology of information an communication.
Nobody knows David Gruber. (Except for his home country, little state Czech Republic in Europe.)
His revolutionary knowhow in psychology of information and communication could have the same epoch-making impact on the
mankind like personal computers, internet, mobile phones, windows already had and have.
Great potential is still hidden before the eyes and brains of the developed English speaking world. Being revealed,

of his books and beats all the world top of gurus and educators in managerial soft skills, transferable skills,
information and study skills and personal development skills. (All the most important bestsellers of world top
movers and shaker are still translated into Czech and are being offered and advertised on the Czech market for
20 years. So, 20 years of fair competition have showed the Gruber´s prevalence.) Hundreds of thousands of
Gruber´s readers are independent and unbiased witnesses that David Gruber presents a new generation know-how
in this respect. Each publishing house in the world can do the maths: Who sold 1 million books in the nation of
10 million people, that must sell at least tens of millions pieces in the English speaking world counting more than
2000 million people.
- Universities to engage David Gruber as a teacher, researcher etc.
- Private educational companies to offer his courses and trainings. David Gruber is the founder of a service on the
market called „short-term training course“. Before David Gruber, this kind of educational service didn´t exist in
his country at all. (There was only school education there.) David Gruber also is the founder and pioneer of the
profession called „independent trainer, lecturer, advisor, coach“. In 1983, the Czech (Czechoslovak) public
absolutely didn´t know that it is possible (and useful) to train oneself in short-term courses (1 day to 1 week)
in communication skills, effective reading and studying, time management, managerial soft skills etc. The whole
country the Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia) was a totalitarian country, strictly isolated from the western
world. So, David Gruber was not allowed to travel e.g. to USA, Germany, England etc. It was immensely
expensive and very risky to phone abroad or exchange written letters. David Gruber had to start from scratch, to
establish his own „homemade“ research center, to study only the literature from former communist countries, to
experiment, to verify…
His first public courses, called „mental work ways and speedreading“ were assessed with public disbelief and
scepsis. This changed radically after the experience of the first trainees, after their word-of-mouth witnesses, after
a few short Gruber´s appearings and interviews in news media. The demand grew immensely. In 1984 – August
1986, only a summer camp form of Gruber´s trainings took place. In 1984, only some daredevils took part. In
1986, crowds of interested people stood in queue before the door of a travel agency which started to sell places
in Gruber´s courses. Some of interested people even slept in sleeping bags before the door of the travel agency
during the cold March 1986 night – the night before the starting day of Gruber´s courses sale. In 1984, all free
places in courses were sold out in a few months, in 1985 in a few days, in 1986 during 40 minutes. (Although
the capacity was doubled.)
From September 1986 on, the capacity of Gruber´s courses increased more than twentyfold. He was allowed to
enterprise in area of education. (Remark: It could sound incredible now, but entrepreneurship or other form of
private business were forbidden in former Czechoslovakia. It was considered an awful crime, penalized by more
than 5 years of prison.) From January to August 1986, David Gruber had to undergo an ordeal of bureaucratic
obstructions to be granted an exclusion, to be allowed to enterprise. The public opinion, the wide demand for his
courses helped him then.
From September 1986, David Gruber started his full-time business in short-term trainings. Until now (= 2009),
he was invited to run more than 900 courses al over the country, for all the important and relevant companies,
institutions, individuals. he managed it almost without media advertisements; mainly on basis of word-of-mouth
feedback and impressions. David Gruber enlarged step by step the topic offer in his trainings to all relevant
communication and information skills. Now, he is on the top of his life experience, professional maturity and
mastery, ready to do business all over the world.
